Challenging change with creativity
The B!G Idea is an exciting new creative education initiative that aims to put creative thinking at the centre of Ireland’s second-level education system. Our programme has harnessed the talents of some of the world's most successful industry professionals to work directly with 15-19 year old students to give them the skills to seek solutions to life’s challenges by igniting their own creativity. The programme is supported by the Creative Ireland programme with additional support from key industry partners.
Why are big ideas needed?
Look around, we exist in a world where the biggest issues the world has ever seen are waiting for the next generation. The world has never been so technologically advanced but there is still life and world-impacting challenges that affect us daily. Innovative solutions are now needed more than ever, and what drives innovation? Creativity.
What's in it for the students?
Through our programme, students will gain critical creative skills that will stay with them forever. This learning will raise their confidence to take on big challenges they will ultimately face in life. We will connect them with hundreds of industry experts who will advise and guide them. Each student receives all the equipment they need in our custom Learning Pack!
What's in it for the teachers?
We have created learning resources for all 14 weeks, digitally formatted with two lessons per week. It can be used directly from the cloud or downloaded in your preferred format. The adaptable format can be used for either a 40-minute class or a 1-hour class with teacher prompts and lesson plans included. With built-in assessment structures and additional class materials, we have you covered.
